I compare Great Expectations by Charles Dickens to The Way of the Shadows by Brent weeks. Both Azoth and Pip grew up in the slums, both parentless. Azoth and Pip have different aspires. As suggested Azoth wants to become an assassin to prevent harm to him and all of his friends. They're main goals are changed by Girls in similar fashions, most indubitably. Both the Authors; Brent weeks and Charles Dickens portray themselve in the past; feelings of anguish. Azoth's motif is more revenge. While Pip's motif is mostly guilt. Weeks likes to show actions more than emotions, the opposite of Dickens, dickens will
explain exactly what Pip is feeling in great detail; which is agonizing sometimes, but may prove to be important later. Both older Pip and Older Azoth regret some of the decisions they made in their pasts; which is mostly why I picked Way of The Shadows.
