As a tiny 7th grader, one person in 7th grade who showed me how to turn boredom into energy was my choir teacher Mrs. Richart. This was my first time entering choir, and I was nervous of what my teacher was like, and if they didn't like my singing. At first it was deathly scary, entering into that room and seeing 42 wandering eye's suddenly lock-on onto me. I chose a random spot, of course I chose up front, and we went through some warm ups (Do Ray Mi's.)
Then after that, she said for us to pull out our music, and I was very nervous! I didn't know how to read music! It wasn't really that hard. Months passed and I was very familiar with everybody. Then out of nowhere we started talking about plays, apparently, each year they did a play. I didn't know what to expect, I was again, nervous I was thinking, what if every one heard me sing and I was terrible!?
I was over reacting of course. It turns out she didn't put you on a lead part unless you audition. As the rest of the year past, I actually looked forward to choir while other kids scuffed their shoes into the class room. I showed many other kids my actual personality. It's embarrassing to say, but I sang really high notes, and passed all the girls XD. A year later, and I am in 8th grade, top of the food chain, high and mighty. Mrs. Richart thought I was a really good singer. Then a few months later Mr. Pendergrast died in the hospital and I saw the compassion, Mr. Pendergrast had cause Mrs. Richart to do choir, it broke all of our hearts to see her cry. She has changed me into a very agree able person, I don't like fighting and I work out my problems, I'll never forget you Mrs. Richart! You turned me into a big success.
Wow...so true, and you are actually pretty good as an emperor or ruler or something.
